I was thinking about doing Halia... and before that I thought I'll try to create some wheat brush for the halia background environment. And my brush playing lead to this.. guess I'll turn this in for homework anyway.

I like it.
Though.. that grass in middle in background should be more dense.. and grass-blades should be thinner from that distance.. nah?
The windmill is really nice.

This painting is flawed in many places... except it took 10 minutes for the background and 10 for the windmill :P.... so for once I am actually rather pleased with it heh... thus said I didn't really bother too much with what's correct or not. The brushes used in this drawing on the other hand took longer, probably over half an hour researching wheats . 3. too much references can be a bad thing too.

I think if you dropped in a nice vanilla sky, or maybe a sunset this would really pop. Awesome work!

Man, if the game looks half this good, it's going to be very cool. :)

Approved.

Tang: Can you make a list of all of the items in the scene and add them to the list of 3D models we need.

Also, when you do your zoomed in shots, make sure to get the bridge, docks, all of the unique buildings/towers, and then some general scenery, such as the shacks/tents, signs, gates, streetlamps, etc...

Cheers!

Great art.

With regard to the banner / tabard in the picture, is that the colour and emblem we're going with for Halia? Red with a white snake?

The picture above is a artistic rendition of what MIGHT happen IF we would go all out with the "worst quests ever" idea.

Halia bridge <--- not a name :

notes that I missed about the bridge:
starting from the circle the path going down the ramp drawn to the path going up the ramp to the top of the bridge needs to be >= 90 degrees angle

List of stuff to be made -

bridge
guard tower
mansion + garden + council house
street lamp
stable
fences
tent
merchant stand
windmill
residential structures
docks
apple trees
point of interest structures (crafting stations, inns, merchants etc if available)

will post more when I think of them.

Ibrahim: It's more of an Ouroboros than a snake. It wasn't decided, but until someone has a complaint he's gonna stick around :D.

Looks awesome, Tang! That should help quite a bit with the towers. After the new website design I'll be soliciting new artists and 3D modelers, so hopefully we'll get some new people to wip up those towers for you.

Cheers!
